Been looking into Jupiter/Saturn conjunctions and the Maya calendar. There is a cycle therein called a katun that goes for 7200 days. The average conjunction cycle is 7254 days. For the duration of Mesoamerican civilization (1700 BCE - 900 CE) there occurred precisely one conjunction per katun! The "pattern" broke near the time when they stopped putting dates on their monuments and artefacts and modern history says their civilization fell. The "pattern" resumed after the April 1027 conjunction and I believe this was close to the initiation of the Kalachakra calendar. Do you know of more, or a source, about the relationship between J/S conjunctions and the Tibetan calendar/astrology?
That conjunction took place near Hamal in the head of the Ram. The conjunction in 1941 was a sidereal return to the same place. Also, in the bigger picture, the vernal point was conjunct there at the time of the Buddha. Thanks for inviting me into this.
