The astrological school often called 'anthroposophic' directly uses the unequal astronomic constellations rather than signs of equal ecliptical length, 'sidereal' or 'tropical', for symbolic delineations of planetary and point positions and for constellation ingresses. For timing purposes a 360 degree grid is superimposed on the ecliptical zodiac, usually beginning with the boundary between the constellations of Pisces and Aries by convention. There is within this school occasional controversy on exactly where some ecliptical constellations begin and end, partially due to somewhat differing attributions of stars, mostly of weak magnitude, to constellations but also due to overlap.
