I only recently... at the end of March right before I went to the hospital... that the 10 point matrix is the integration of upright and inverted pentagrams ... the fact that a hand has 10 fingers and not twelve and that Yod means 10 in Hebrew transliteration... that the Babylonian letter the 'Yodh' also means 'Hand' is further evidence for supportive consideration.
Each pentagram of the 72 possible permutations in the Zodiac is symbolically illustrative of a life perfectly led in ones 'Sadhana' in life. The apex of the upright pentagram is your M.C. and in a life lived in 'spiritual Evolution' one reads the Sabian Symbols of the Zodiac in a Clock Wise direction...the orientation point being Virgo 30*.
Rabbi Dobin in his book "Kabbalistic Astrology" mentions that by Hebrew legend the first day on Earth ...r.e. 'The Thelma Mundi' was on what is presently considered the first day of Libra...the Autumnal Equinox.
As Scientists in consensus say that all the planets were 'spewed forth' from the Sun in one cathartic action and that it broke up and deposited relative sized 'globes' of molten matter...which all congealed into the numerous planets we know today and possibly more that are out there ...someday [and I believe that the fragments of the 'asteroid belt' to have been a planet in an ancient time...]
Scientists also say that in the beginning and for quite some time afterward the Earth was in perfect 90* axis to the orbit about the Sun and that it was in affect perpetual 'Spring' and there were no polar regions.
Also the Earth was most populated in the Southern Hemispheres for eons and Astrology was originally designed with that perspective.
To get a grasp on understanding this. Take your natal chart and turn it 180* so that the Asc becomes the Desc. Now, flip it over.
Think about it.
The upper horizon of your natal chart is your view of the world about you in 2d. Picture yourself in Australia, and look towards the Equator. In this position the Sun will rise on your right side...unlike the left sideas here in the Northern Hemispher. [of all the constellations in the sky... which is the only one that actually looks like its name... The Southern Cross... put there to remind us.
The story about the 7 Aeons of the Polar Sky and their being benevolent ...never made sense as the Aeons are known by myth/legend to be anything but...now, makes sense...and why the Nodes... those indicators of what the entire days astro influences upon all humanity have always shown us that the 'Spiritually Evolutionary' manner of procession for action and divine order of the day... 360 different in succession ... repetitive lesson...practice ...till perfect ...then you can go join the 'Band'...
These 72 pentagrams each have an Angel at the apex as there are 72 Angels of the Quinaries of the Zodiac. I believe that the first covers all from Virgo 30* to Virgo 26*, inclusive...and it proceeds from there. [actually, I believe it begins in the most minute slice of the ephemeral beginning of Libra...and this 'links' each degree to the next in a way that is truly a 'flow'...it's why all nature melds... 'the mendelbot ...fractile thing... [and it 'links the Signs of the Zodiac too...]
As Rudhyar said, "All true paths of discipleship begin in Virgo...When you accept my theory that Jesus/Yeshua was born with a Libra 01* Asc., thus the first step on His path being so Divinely Illustrated so as not to be missed or misinterpreted is that of Virgo 30*. The first semi Quintile from this orientation point in Libra is at Leo 25* 00' 01" and that is where the changing of the 'Angelic Guard' occurs. Jesus/Yeshuas' Part of Eros [Asc. + Venus - Part of Spirit {Day Formula please}] ...by my proposed true birth chart of the Man from Nazareth... comes to 24* Leo 20'. The Part of Eros is said to indicate where we seek the association of fellow travelers of ones own 'sadhana'... the symbol for that degree is "A Camel Crossing a Vast Desert' and represents the one that can make the journey ...finding ones own path and doing it self sufficiently. It also happens to be my M.C. [the 'HOW' of the chart axis symbolizing ones 'Spiritual Sadhana'.] It's also my Part of Fortune...go figure.
So...now to assemble all this and give you all a picture from which to ...hopefully...get a 1000 words worth of insight if not total understanding itself.
Think of your M.C. as your abode. It is a mountain top upon the 'Horizon' of your birth chart...your world in 2d as I gave explanation of above. And it is in the middle of a valley on the tip of the mountain top that is 36* wide with the rims of the valley being under the protectorship/guard of whatever particular Angel is assigned those five degrees from where which the rim points are found.
In my case this is that Angel there at that first step and the one that governs Cancer 15* 00' 01" to Cancer 20* 00' 01" which is where my natal Uranus is located [at 15* 18' 57" and has the Sabian Symbol, "A MAN STUDYING A MANDALA IN FRONT OF HIM, WITH THE HELP OF A VERY ANCIENT BOOK." ..and the Sabians are known as, 'The Astrological Mandala'... [I'm just sayin' ...I do believe I was born to do this...]...

So, think of these two 'Angels' as being on either of your shoulders and being your best advisors... I suggest reading what Rudhyar has to say about each 5 degree increment in the Zodiac as to the Sabian Symbols found in each of these five degrees. Each 15* is a major precept..for example that of my uranus 16* to 30* Cancer is, according to Dane Rudhyar, is "Consolidation".
Each of these 15 degree precepts is comprised of three ...for want of a better word...'Gunas' ... but in this association as ''Actional'', ''Emotional/Cultural'' and "Individual/Mental", according to Rudhyar.
Forum member Sdh3 and author and World reknowned Sabian authority, Lynda Hill have both written some interesting observations and analyses of these 'perfect pentagrams symbolisms in a process oriented journey of life ...when we learn that we have free will and that if we understand honest, true astrology that the Sabian symbols give each and every one of us the opportunity to choose to acquiesce to the will of the Creator/Cosmos and thus embrace our natal blueprints and see, understand and live them in the light of the knowledge that ones natal chart is never to be viewed or understoo or believed to be of any malefic influence...nothing was placed in the Zodiac that is of Astrological influence upon our lives that is or was intended to be harmful ... it is a , as Rudhyar and his co author and fourth wife, Leyla Rael explained by the title of their book, "A Process Orientated Approach" ..that one has to interpret Astrology by.
